Physical product niche marketing is one of the easiest methods to get started online an affiliate. But if you’ll mess up with your keyword research it’ll only end up harming your effort.
So in this article we’ll have a look on how to do keyword research to figure out profitable keywords for physical product niche marketing. For keyword research we’ll use following three tools,
Whenever we talk about physical product niche marketing, the very first thing that pops up is Amazon. We’ll use Amazon.com to find out profitable products. Note that physical product marketing is not exclusive to Amazon, but the methods we’ll discus here will also be applicable to any other physical product store than Amazon.
Second tool that we’ll use is Google Keyword Tool (GKT), we’ll use this tool to figure out keywords which people might be typing in search engines to reach product.
Finally we’ll use Traffic Travis keyword research tool to figure out SEO competition for keywords. Note that if keyword is too competitive to rank for, your product promotion effort will mostly likely to go waste, that’s the reason why we need Traffic Travis.

So first head towards Amazon.com to find out profitable products.

Now you’ll end up on Amazon.com’s product category page, from here you can select any product category you want. Dig down deeper in product categories to get a profitable product.
By the way following are few things that you should look for on product landing page to make sure the product you are selecting is really profitable or not.

We need minimum $100 product because Amazon.com pays only 6% to 15% commission on sales of product (this condition is valid for almost all physical product affiliate programs). Which means you’ll get only $6 to $15 on sale of a $100 product, hence to make sure that you should end up with good amount of profit in hand, you must target products with cost range more than $100.
You need minimum 20 reviews on product because it assures you and your customer that that product is actually selling and not eating dust there. Minimum 4 rating will assure quality of product in eyes of customers, leading to more sales.
You need detailed description or detailed product review by customer on product landing page because by default 99% of human beings on planet are wired to look for details before buying a product. Details on product landing will improve conversions.
A detailed description of product with images and videos usually makes more sales than any other product which lack them.
